“Donne in equilibrio: oggi” (Women in equilibrium: today”) is a documentary, halfway between a social survey and a sentimental chronicle, that explores the epochal changes in today’s feminism.
The short film was conceived, designed and produced by our studio in occasion of “Donne in Equilibrio – 1955-65”, an exhibit which pays homage to Wanda Ferragamo and to all the female figures who have helped shape the path of women’s social empowerment blossomed in the second post-war period.
A group of women ranging from 18 to 35 years of age, selected by heterogenous social background, geographical origin, nationality, profession and sexual orientation, is invited to respond to a series of questions covering matters such as family, work, love, religion, customs and traditions. The interviews, in the foreground on a black backdrop, are indeed organized according to thematic blocks which follow the exhibit’s sections.
It is a brief testimony on those who today are or are about to become women, who tell their stories in an ideal dialogue, in equilibrium between time and distant generations, exactly with the model of woman represented by the exhibit’s protagonists.
